French Toast Friday!

Friday mornings I have off until 12 o'clock!!  - awesome, I know.  So I like to spend that time with Will, and Will only.  The past few Friday mornings I've decided french toast would be the BEST thing for breakfast.  Because I'm not that creative, I've found a nifty recipe site [online] that all you have to do is type in a word and it'll bring numerous amounts of recipes to try.  So my simple, plain but still so yummy french toast recipe came from there.  I have slightly modified it to try to make my food choices a little healthier.  You add a little ground cinammon and vanilla extract to your eggs & milk and voila! french toast tastiness!  I use thick, whole grain wheat bread for a more added flavor.  Of course Will, being 7 months old, couldn't have french toast yet, so he had bananas and oatmeal with his usual course of milk.

After our fantastic breakfast, we headed down to the convenient store to get a pumpkin pie spice coffee (with EXTRA cream)- I do have a love affair with coffee flavors.  Then, swung into the carwash/vaccum center to do a little car cleaning.  This upcoming weekend is our annual Christian Women's Fellowship [women's] retreat at our church camp.  So Will played with his toys and "sang" me little songs while I cleaned up my jeep.  My sister-in-law, Whitney, and I will be leaving tomorrow after her soccer game/my work to head to Bethany Hills.  After coming home, I made sure I got the house cleaned up, dishes washed and put away & laundry done.  Because while I'm gone, no offense to the good males, Jason(my husband) won't touch a thing.  Nonetheless, Will and I had an enjoyable morning before I dropped him off and headed to work.  Usually we try to get in a run or long walk on my mornings off, but this morning I was pressed for time so I took time for what was really important... hanging with my boy.

Ok, so a little recap to who I really am and where I'm coming from.  I'm basically starting this blog from September of 2010 to now.  Last September, Jason and I got married after dating for a little over a year.  A huge step you might say, yes, but we jumped together.  At the same time, I was pregnant *insert shocked face here* with our first child.  We had a quick married life with just the two of us --> fast forward to February 4, 2011.  I know everyone says it, but this really was the best day of my life.  As soon as William Jason was born and they laid him on me, he "looked" up at me and grabbed my finger.  As if saying, "I'm here and I'm yours forever."  And he's never really let go of my finger or my heart since.

So in case nothing is making sense yet, I am just trying to fit EVERYTHING into my oh so crazy life.  I am on a quest for being organized, healthy and faithful--  faithful to my God, faithful to my family and faithful to myself.
