i think i can, i think i can

"Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?"- Evan Almighty  Morgan Freeman/God

This quote may not be directly from our God but it makes me think that this is how God might do things.  I know when I pray for something I really want, I don't automatically see angels and a 180 degree change.  I try to remember this quote when things aren't going just the way i'd like or its getting pretty difficult out there.  This week has been especially hard.  Today was near breakdown for me.  *recap*  I graduated in May 2010 at Murray State University with a bachelor's degree in agriculture, got a job at a vet clinic, been working there since*  fast forward to present-  I applied, was accepted and just started nursing school at bethel university.  With an infant.  And part time pay.  Today I found out the the financial aid I applied for and was granted didn't quite cover my whole tuition.  Ugh, just when you thought things were at a standstill (we finally got Will paid off) something else happens.  So, back to the above quote. .. I will keep asking for help and keep looking for opportunites that He is giving me.

Fit in a quick arm routine- thanks to whitney!  I hope I feel the burn there tomorrow.  My legs are still pretty tight feeling and not so much painful.  Whitney has been real positive and encouraging to help  me *tighten* up.  She is a great friend like that.  I mean, how many friends do you really have that are always positive and uplifting?

  1. I absolutely love this quote too, it's wonderful and it's definitely i view things. just for you, I did the arm workout as well, and I know I'll feel that tomorrow! I've not always been a positive person but the past several years I've turned my way of thinking around and i am so grateful that I did. My thinking is to just smile/laugh it off when things are going bad, bc truly what else can you do? May as well make the most of it! love you woman and you are so strong so just keep that head up and keep on moving forward, you're doing amazing!
